Ultimate New Zealand Highlights

Three weeks the length of New Zealand’s North and South Islands: Hobbiton, geothermal Rotorua, Lake Taupo, whale watching in Kaikoura, a stargazing retreat at Lake Tekapo, Milford Sound, and free time in Queenstown for optional adventure activities. Groups of 10-24, ages 18-35, with an Ultimate Group Leader throughout.

Auckland (3 nights)

Welcome dinner, a guided city tour, a day trip to Cathedral Cove & Hot Water Beach, and the Hobbiton Movie Set Tour with lunch and a drink at the Green Dragon Inn.

Rotorua (3 nights)

Hell’s Gate Geothermal Spa (guided bush walk + mud spa) and an evening at Te Pā Tū Māori Village with a traditional banquet dinner and cultural performance.

Taupo (2 nights)

Guided walk to Huka Falls, and a private catamaran cruise on Lake Taupo past the Māori Rock Carvings.

Wellington (2 nights)

Group dinner and free time to explore Te Papa Tongarewa, the Wellington Cable Car, and Cuba Street, before the ferry south.

Kaikoura (2 nights)

Whale watching cruise on the way down the South Island.

Christchurch (1 night) & Lake Tekapo (2 nights)

Church of the Good Shepherd, hot springs, and a group stargazing session under some of the world’s clearest night skies.

Queenstown (4 nights, via Mount Cook)

Day trip to Mount Cook en route, a Queenstown bar crawl, a full-day Milford Sound trip with boat cruise, and free days for optional adventure activities like skydiving or the Nevis Bungy.
