Depart Alice Springs early (or join at Yulara) and head into the desert. This afternoon explore Kata Tjuta, a striking collection of 36 domes, on the Walpa Gorge Walk, before heading to the Uluru sunset viewing area for a light snack as the colours of the rock shift. Return to camp for dinner and a night under the stars. Meals: Dinner (plus lunch from Alice Springs).
Rise early for sunrise at Uluru. Visit culturally significant sites, learn about Anangu rock art and hear a creation story from your guide, then enjoy the full Base Walk and the Cultural Centre. After lunch travel to an exclusive campsite near Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon). Dinner under the outback sky. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Hike the spectacular Kings Canyon Rim Walk past the Lost City, Garden of Eden and the canyon walls, then return to Alice Springs, arriving early evening. Meals: Breakfast, lunch.
